The Femicide Tapes is a collection of demos that were going to appear on our third album. After 3 years, we've decided to abandon the project. Writing a record that encapsulates the horrors of femicide in its various forms (hate crimes against Transwomen, murdered and missing Indigenous women, domestic abuse, etc.) has proven to be an emotionally exhausting endeavor. We have also become increasingly disgruntled with the current musical landscape in Toronto. Live music fans are disappearing, and venues are closing down as a result. Additionally, our live performances are very costly and time-consuming, and continuing this project is no longer feasible.
